Chatbot for Prospective Students

Status ongoing

Project begin 01.01.2024

Description

As part of a project in cooperation with the Computational Science Hub (CSH), we have developed chatbots for prospective students that cover both the Master in Economics and the Bachelor in Information Systems. The aim of the chatbots is to provide prospective students with all the important information they need and to direct them to the right contact point if they have specific questions.

To ensure that prospective students receive comprehensive and correct information, we work closely with the advice centres (AAA, ZSB, FSB). Based on their experience and knowledge, they can provide detailed information on possible questions students may have and the relevant sources to answer these questions. Once all the necessary information had been gathered, the first prototypes of the chatbots were trained and subsequently tested extensively by the stakeholders. Based on the feedback, the sources of information and the basic prompts of the chatbots were adapted to meet the requirements of the stakeholders.

Following the successful integration of all feedback and final tests, the chatbots were launched on the relevant websites and are continuously evaluated during operation. The ongoing evaluation is part of a comprehensive evaluation concept that includes an experiment and a survey of prospective students as well as statistical analyses of the chat histories and subsequent interviews with all stakeholders.
