M.Sc. Simon Bumiller
Simon Bumiller graduated in Information System at the Universities of Stuttgart and Hohenheim with a Master of Science degree in 2015. In his master's thesis he dealt with the topic "Application Potentials of Ontologies in NSS". He has been working as a research assistant at the Development Information Systems 1 since April 2015. He has his research interests in the area of software development, software architectures, negotiation, mediation and communication support.
Dr. Alexander Dannenmann

r. Alexander Dannenmann studied Economic Sciences at the University of Hohenheim from 2004 to 2009. After his diploma he started to work as a research assistant and student advisor at the Development Information Systems 1, University of Hohenheim and received his Ph.D. in 2013.
Dr. Katja Duckek
Dr. Katja Duckek studied Communication Sciences at the University of Hohenheim until 2006. After her diploma she worked as research assistnt and lecturer at the Development Information Systems 1. In 2009, she received her Ph.D. at the University of Hohenheim in the field of Electronic Negotiations.
Prof. Dr. Marc Fernandes
Prof. Dr. Marc Fernandes studied software engineering at the University of Stuttgart until 2004. He then worked in product management and software development with a focus on Java-based database and client-server applications. From 2010, he worked as a research assistant at the Development Information Systems 1 and received his PhD in 2016 in the field of electronic negotiations with the topic "Agenda Negotiations in Electronic Negotiation Support Systems: An Information Systems Perspective".

Dr. Johannes Gettinger
Johannes Gettinger studied International Business Administration at the University of Vienna (Austria) and Bologna (Italy). After completing his studies, Mr. Gettinger gained experience in the consulting field. Johannes Gettinger started his academic career at the University of Vienna as a researcher and lecturer and later at the Vienna University of Technology. He completed his doctoral studies with a cumulative dissertation in the field of electronic decision-making and negotiation support. Johannes Gettinger has been working as a researcher and lecturer at the University of Hohenheim since summer 2012 and is part of the Humboldt Reloading Program.
Research interests are based on an interdisciplinary approach to decision making and conflict resolution approaches. Previous research projects dealt with aspects such as the role of information and its representation for decision-makers and negotiators, electronically supported negotiations and mediations, the role of emotions in conflict resolution processes, renegotiations, and alternative approaches to negotiations (vetos), etc. Dr. Gettinger's research results are reflected in more than 30 publications and can be found among others in the journals Decision Support Systems, Journal of Business Economics and Group Decision and Negotiaton.
His diploma thesis was financially awarded by the Austrian National Bank. His doctoral research activities were financially supported by the Science Fund FWF, which resulted in the first cumulative dissertation of the Institute of Management Science. Furthermore, Mr. Gettinger received the "Decision Analysis Society Publication Award" for his participation in the Best Decision Analysis Publication 2011 and the Best Paper Award of the Faculty of Economics at the University of Hohenheim (2014). For his teaching he received the prize for innovative teaching methods of the Vienna University of Technology and his courses were ranked several times among the best five evaluated courses of the University of Hohenheim.
Dr. Gettinger acts as associate editor, reviewer, track chair and member of the program committee among others in Decision Support Systems (Associate Editor), Group Decision and Negotiation, ICEIS (Program Committee), Information & Management, International Journal of Information Technology & Decision Making, Journal of Business Communication, Operational Research: An International Journal. Since the summer semester 2014 he has been a representative of the Central Committee in the doctoral committee of the Faculty of Economics.
Dr. Kai Honsel
Dr. Kai Honsel studied Information Systems at the University of Münster until 2004. After his studies he joined the Development Information Systems 1 at the University of Hohenheim as a research assistant until 2011. He received his Ph.D. in Integrated Usage Mining. His research interests include eye tracking, web mining and electronic commerce.
M.Sc. Franziska Joustra
M.Sc. Franziska Joustra studied European Administrative Management at Harz University until 2006. Until 2013 she worked as a team assistant at the Development Information Systems 1 of Prof. Schoop and studied at the same time in distance learning the master in economics at the distance university Hagen. After graduating, she worked until 2015 as a research associate at the Development Information Systems 1 of Prof. Schoop
Dr. Frank Köhne
Dr. Frank Köhne studied Information Systems at the University of Muenster. After his studies he worked as research assistant and lecturer at the University of Muenster, at RWTH Aachen and at the University of Hohenheim. During this time he has been involved in different research projects. His research interests include human-computer interaction, electronic commerce, software architecture and intelligent systems. He holds a Ph.D. from Hohenheim University and currently works on a research project on electronic negotiation support.
Dr. Philipp Kordowich
Dr. Philipp Kordowich studied Economic Sciences at the University of Hohenheim until 2004. After his diploma he worked as research assistant and lecturer at the Development Information Systems 1 at the University of Hohenheim. In 2010, he gained his Ph.D. at the University of Hohenheim.
Dr. Michael Körner
Michael Körner graduated in Information Systems with a Master of Science degree in 2012 from the Universities of Hohenheim and Stuttgart. His Master's thesis at the Development Information Systems 1 dealt with the topic "Application of Text Categorization Techniques to Electronic Negotiation Messages". Since then he has been working as a research assistant at the Development Information Systems 1 and is doing his doctorate in the field of text mining and sentiment analysis in electronic negotiations. His research interests include Sentiment Analysis, Text Mining and Text Classification.
His thesis "Negotiation Support System Functionality in Business Communication Applications - a Theoretical Evaluation" was awarded the Best Student Paper Award at the "Information Systems" Conference 2011 in Zurich.
Dr. Annika Lenz
Annika Lenz studied Information Systems at the Universities of Hohenheim and Stuttgart. After graduating, she worked as a research assistant at the Chair of Information Systems 1. She is doing her doctorate in the field of electronic requirements negotiations.
She has been a lecturer at the CareerCenter of the University of Hohenheim since 2016 and offers training courses on SAP ERP 6.0. In addition to her practical experience in application development in SAP ERP as well as her practical experience in various modules, she attended further training courses as a consultant for development in SAP NetWeaver with a focus on ABAP and as a consultant for "Associate Business Foundation & Integration with SAP ERP 6.0", including certification.
Dr. Philipp Melzer
Philipp Melzer studied Information Systems at the Universities of Hohenheim and Stuttgart. In 2012 he received his Master's degree. His Master's thesis supervised by the Department Information Systems 1 covered the "Conceptualisation and Implementation of Agenda Negotiations in the Negotiation Support System Negoisst". He was awaded a doctoral degree for his dissertation "A Conceptual Framework for Personalised Learning". Working as a negotiation trainer himself, he offers trainings as well. His research interests are in the area of personalised, collaborative e-learning and negotiation trainings.
As one of only 40 international participants he has been invited to the Doctoral Consortium of the International Conference on Information Systems 2014. He received financial support by the German Academic Exchange Service for his contribution to the International Conference on Information Systems 2015.
Dr. Azuka Mordi
Azuka Mordi studied at Berlin University of Technology (Technische Universität Berlin) and holds a Master’s degree in industrial engineering. He worked as a management consultant for an international consulting company, leading projects worldwide. His main focus was on product development and project management, especially for clients in the automotive industry. He has worked with German and international clients, including large OEMs as well as small and medium-sized businesses and suppliers.
Since March 2018 he has been a research assistant at the Chair of Information Systems at University of Hohenheim. His research interests include organizational agility, agile management and digital transformation.
Dr. Moez ur Rehman
Dr. Moez ur Rehman holds a M.Sc. degree in computer sciences from International Islamic University Islamabad, Pakistan in 2000. After his studies he worked as research assistant and lecturer at the RTWH Aachen and the University of Hohenheim. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Hohenheim in 2008 on "A Hybrid Model of Electronic Negotiation: Integration of Negotiation Support and Automated Negotiation Models."
His research interests include Software Agents in Electronic Commerce and the Semantic Web.
Dr. Andreas Reiser
Dr. Andreas Reiser studied Economic Sciences at the University of Hohenheim until 2006. After his studies he worked as research assistant and lecturer at the Development Information Systems 1 at the University of Hohenheim and received his Ph. D. in 2012 in the field of Electronic negotiations. His working title was: "Entscheidungsunterstützung in elektronischen Verhandlungen: Eine Analyse unter besonderer Berücksichtigung von unvollständigen Informationen".
Dr. Andreas Schmid
Andreas Schmid studied Information Systems at the Universities of Hohenheim and Stuttgart until 2016. His Master Thesis supervised by the Chair of Information Systems 1 covered the topic "Enhancing the Flexibility of Electronic Negotiation Protocols Using a Workflow Management System".
Since April 2016 he worked as a research assistant at the Chair of Information Systems 1. In his PhD project he investigates the topic "Gamification of Electronic Negotiation Training". His research interests include electronic negotiations, gamification, e-Learning, software engineering and usability.
Dr. Dirk Staskiewicz
Dr. Dirk Staskiewicz studied Information Systems at RWTH Aachen. After his studies he worked as research assistant and lecturer at RWTH Aachen and University of Hohenheim. He received his Ph.D. from University of Hohenheim in 2009 in the topic "Document-Centred Electronic Negotiations ".
Josepha Witt
Josepha Witt received her Bachelor of Science in Information Systems at the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) Stuttgart. In her bachelor thesis, she conducted a use case synthesis of problem areas addressed by blockchain technology. She published and presented the results of her bachelor's thesis in 2018 as a paper at the Multiconferenz Wirtschaftsinformatik (MKWI).<o:p></o:p>
Afterwards, she studied the Master's program in Information Systems at the University of Hohenheim and graduated in 2020. As one of the top three per cent of all students in the 2018 summer semester at the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Hohenheim, Josepha Witt was included in the Deans List. Her master thesis at the Chair of Intelligent Information Systems dealt with the topic “Is Your Value Chain Ready for Blockchain Technology? - An Analysis of Implemented Blockchain Technology Projects”.<o:p></o:p>
Josepha Witt worked as a research assistant at the Chair of Intelligent Information Systems since October 2018. She did her doctorate on the topic „Applications of Blockchain Technology in E-Business Value Chains". From May 2021, Josepha Witt received a two-year state graduate scholarship to complete her dissertation.<o:p></o:p>
