Dr. Muhammed-Fatih Kaya
Muhammed-Fatih Kaya graduated with a Master of Science in Information Systems from the Universities of Hohenheim and Stuttgart. He has been working as a research assistant at the chair of Intelligent Information Systems since October 2016 and completed his doctorate in the field of Machine Learning in August 2022 with the grade 'summa cum laude'. The title of his doctoral thesis is: "Automated Pattern Recognition of Communication Behaviour in Electronic Business Negotiations". Muhammed-Fatih Kaya currently works as a postdoctoral researcher and research coordinator at the chair of Intelligent Information Systems. His research interests are in the areas of Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, Pattern Recognition, Predictive Analytics, Electronic Negotiations and Negotiation Support Systems.
Muhammed-Fatih Kaya won several scientific awards, such as the Springer Group Decision and Negotiation Young Researcher Award (2019) or the Springer Best Paper Award of the International Group Decision and Negotiation Conference in Tokyo (2023). Since 2023, he has been an active member of the editorial board of the Group Decision and Negotiation Journal and a reviewer in various Information Systems outlets. He is a project member in the joint project ABBA: AI for Business | Business for AI, coordinated by the University of Hohenheim, in which ten other partners from three German federal states are involved.
Muhammed Fatih Kaya also heads the Information Systems service centre. Its tasks include programme management and student advisory services for the Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes in Information Systems at the Universities of Hohenheim and Stuttgart.
