New publication in the Journal of Group Decision and Negotiation  [07.03.22]

The chair is pleased to announce that the article “Gamification of Electronic Negotiation Training: Effects on Motivation, Behavior and Learning” has been successfully published in the Journal of Group Decision and Negotiation.

The article entitled "Gamification of Electronic Negotiation Training: Effects on Motivation, Behavior and Learning" was written by Andreas Schmid and Prof. Dr. Mareike Schoop.

The article presents the Negoisst negotiation support system, which has been expanded to include game elements. The gamified system was specially developed to improve the motivation and learning outcomes of participants in digital negotiation training. The system was then evaluated in a large-scale evaluation with over 200 participants. The results show improved motivation, higher engagement and better learning outcomes for participants in gamified training compared to participants in conventional training. Furthermore, the study shows that female participants show significantly more engagement in gamified training and that a negotiation domain-specific feedback element has similar motivational effects as traditional game elements.
