Description
The overall research goal of the research area Negotiation Research - Transformation, Technology, Media, and Costs is to analyse the interplay between transformation processes (as an organisational fact) and negotiation technology, negotiation media, and negotiation costs.
This is unique in various ways. Firstly, it combines core elements of information systems and computer science with those of management and economics in a truly integrated manner. Secondly, it approaches the interdisciplinary field of negotiation research from various angles, thus avoiding a predominant view. Thirdly, to do so, a project consortium of experts in their related fields will work together. Finally, the research follows a two-stage process starting with a thorough investigation of transformation effects on technology, media, and costs; followed by an analysis of the interrelated effects between technology and media, technology and costs, and media and costs; accumulating in the effects of the transformation processes resulting in new transformation and thus starting another transformation cycle. The consortium has a proven record of excellence in negotiation research with many high-quality publications and important previous projects.
